  • The duration of the M.Sc. Nursing program is 2 years.
  • The curriculum is designed in accordance with the Indian Nursing Council (INC) norms, ensuring a comprehensive education that meets national standards. Eligibility Criteria

    Candidates applying for the ANM program must have:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have successfully completed B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Hons. Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an INC-recognized institution.
  • Registration: The candidate must be a registered Nurse and registered Midwife or hold an equivalent qualification from any state nursing council.

Work Experience

  • A minimum of one year of work experience is required after completing B.Sc Nursing.
  • For Post Basic B.Sc Nursing graduates, one year of work experience prior to or after the course is required.
  • Medical Fitness: The candidate must be medically fit to undergo the rigorous academic and practical components of the course.
  • Relaxation for SC/ST Candidates: A relaxation of 5% in marks will be given to candidates from SC/ST categories, making them eligible with 50% aggregate marks.
  • For Male Candidates: In the case of male candidates, they should have passed any other course recommended by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery, as midwifery is not a mandatory requirement for male candidates.
  • This course is designed to enhance the professional skills of nursing graduates, equipping them with the expertise to assume leadership roles in various healthcare settings, contribute to nursing research, and elevate nursing education standards.

Mode of Admission

The admission process for the M.Sc. Nursing program at Sri K. Ramachandran Naidu College of Nursing is conducted through a transparent and merit-based system. The selection committee constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu plays a pivotal role in finalizing the selection of candidates for the Government Quota based on their cut-off marks. The remaining seats under the Management Quota are filled by the college management and principal, who will select candidates based on their merit and performance in an interview:

  • Candidates can obtain the application form and prospectus directly from the office of Sri K. Ramachandran Naidu College of Nursing.
  • The application must be filled out in the prescribed format provided by the college.
2. Submission of Application
  • Candidates are required to submit the completed application form within the stipulated time frame. All required documents must be attached, including academic certificates, identification proof, and any other supporting materials mentioned in the application form.
3. Scrutiny and Merit-Based Selection
  • The college's selection committee will scrutinize all submitted applications.
  • Candidates will be selected based on their academic merit (as per the cut-off marks) and their performance in a personal interview conducted by the committee.
